No one can tell me where my soul might be; I searched for God, but he eluded me;
I sought my brother and found all three.

2) ALUMNI WEEKEND!
3) Donations

1) I've started a new thing this time around. From now on, twice a year, in the first Alumni Newsletter in September and the first of the second semester in January, I'm going to have the Master write up a "State of the Chapter." Sort of like the State of the Union, but without all the applause. So here, goes straight off the typewriter of Aaron David.

"Smooth, full bodied and robust... You might think im describing a lager or maybe even a German stout, but im happy to say its all EPSILON CHI. Here is a quick summary of the AEPi school year thus far. We rushed a group of great guys in first semester and brought the Nu's into the brotherhood with an epic pledge. Splashbash... well you just had to be there, 1200 people came out for AEPi and partied much like it was 1999. Our name is strong on campus and and the Epsilon Chi vibe is out there. An Aepi party is credible and means alot. Tonight is our anual semi formal @ Le Blanc on St. Laurent, the only thing more debaucherous then the good times that will be had is the frat sponsered bottle service on ice all night. We are having a great time and its because we are OFFICIALLY in the black. National loves us and we are eligable to recieve many awards at concllave to which we are sending a full delegation. A van full of brothers are heading down to Albany to put Epsilon Chi on the map. We have a lot planned for this semester. We all pledged to hold at least one brother event every week. We are planning a road trip to Boston for the end of the semester and some creative philanthropic parties. As well a party on alumni  weekend!!!

Things are amazing guys and to cite AEPi alum Albert Einsten (Aepi Charles Universtiy Prague) We got to where we are today by standing on the shoulders of giants. You alumni are important to us. Who we are today is rooted in who we were. I am very excited to see all of you on alumni weekend. We will have an amazing time planned for you guys and hopefully in return you guys can impart your knowledge onto the younger brothers.

See you all soon,

Fraternally,

Aaron David"

2. Now that that's done with, we get to the important part. ALUMNI WEEKEND!

So, as I've told you in every alumni newsletter so far, Alumni weekend is happening this year on February 10,11,12.
Our schedule so far is attached to this email, and follows basically the same format as last year.

To quickly summarize, on Friday, you're welcome to join myself and a couple other brothers who go to Ghetto Shul for services and dinner, if you're not up for that, or even if you are, we'll all be meeting around 9 at the unofficial House for a predrink. After which we'll go to Orchid (tentatively, possibly a different club).
Saturday, we will be having the traditional luncheon where the Nu's will be presenting their pledge class project, we'll have good eats, and then, patterned after what we did last year, we're going to be doing breakout sessions with you guys expounding your vast wisdom on the Brothers.

Right now, I'm thinking of having the following "mini-workshops"
1) Rush
2) Pledge
3) Planning Brother Events
Our biggest emphasis needs to be on the Rush discussion, as its the area where EX has the most trouble, so if anyone would volunteer to lead those discussions, that'd be a big help. You guys are the reason that we're in this today, and your experience is invaluable to us.

After the luncheon, you guys'll have a while to chill and catch up with each other, and at 9:00 we're going to go for a private party at a Club to be announced (being planned by our very own Master and LT) and for those of you sticking around Sunday, a bunch of us are going to head over to Shwartz's for some high quality smoked meat.

For more detail, check out the attachment, but that's basically it. It promises to be great times, all the Brothers, especially the First Years (Nu's) are really excited to see all of you, its promising to be good times all around.

Most importantly, PLEASE RSVP! We NEED to know who is coming. Even if you aren't coming, tell us that. All I need is an email with one word. "Coming" or "Not Coming", But its really important that you RSVP.

If you plan on staying at a Hotel, you can get a McGill Student discount by saying you're a relative of a McGill student and giving them my Student Number (if you're planning on doing this, just ask me for it). Or, if you'd like, we can arrange for you to stay at one of the Brother's apartments.

3. Now for the not so fun part. As you saw in Aaron's little blurb, Epsilon Chi is finally out of debt. That being said though, as you all know, as a Fraternity we still have a ton of expenses, and what with our pledge to do a ton of Brother events this year, we need all the help we can get.

Two things in particular we would really appreciate your help with. First of all - this weekend. Alumni Weekend is really important to the Brothers but we need your help to make it the best that it can be. Second, conclave. This is a pet project that I've had this year, to build EX a closer relationship with National. I've convinced the guys to send a delegation to Conclave (At U of Albany this year) but the hotel and transportation costs do add up, again any help that you can give us would be really appreciated. It's really important that we maintain good relations with National, and this is a great way to do it. We're going to be bringing a lot of younger Brothers to Conclave so they can learn better Rushing techniques and general all around good Brotherhood.

If you can spare some help for us, please just let me know how much you think you will be able to donate and you can either bring it with you to Alumni Weekend, or mail me a cheque if you like. I'd much rather be telling you guys how we're rolling in the dough, but thats not the case... so any help we can get would be really appreciated.

That's all for now, remember, keep me updated on Simcha's and such things so we can share the Nachas.

Fraternally,
Corey 'Ratz-n-Burger' Shefman
