No one can tell me where my soul might be; I searched for God, but he eluded me;
I sought my brother and found all three.

Alumni,

Here we go for the Second Alumni Newsletter of 2005-2006!

1) Meet the Nu Pledge Class!
2) Splashbash 2K5
3) Alumni Weekend
4) Other News

1) This past weekend we initiated the NU Pledge Class into the Epsilon Chi Chapter. Almost all the Brothers went up to a cottage in the Laurentians with our 7 fantastic pledges for an unforgettable Final Weekend. The culmination of the best pledge program in recent memory (sorry Benj!), Pledge Master Nate 'Unicorn on the Cob' Charach kept the pledges (and the brothers) in line. From a drunken 'Lengthwise' to the awsome chills of 'Lockdown' the pledges bonded and learned to appreciate the Brotherhood we call AEPi. Just for you, I've had each of the Nu's write up a little bit about themselves:

Name: Blair Mestel
Where you're from: Thornhill, Ontario
Your Brother Name: Mr Azeez
Best memory of pledge: Pledge Assignments with my Big Brother.
-----------------------------------
Name:
Ben Guth
Where you're from: Lexington, MA
Brother Name:
Ace of Diamonds
Best Memory of Pledge: Just chilling with the pledges and having fun.
-----------------------------------
Name: Josh Finkelstein
Where you're From: Toronto
Your Brother Name: "Dempster P. Swoops"
Best memory of pledge: Scavenger Hunt
-----------------------------------
Name: Rob Just
Where you're From: Montreal
Brother Name
: Who Shot J.R.?

Best Memory of Pledge: The most memorable night of pledge was the century club night. Theres nothing like drinking over a litre of beer and feeling so drunk that your going to barf only to find out it was nonalcoholic and you would have gotten more drunk from a cotton swab at the doctors office before a needle.
-----------------------------------
Name: Jeff Petroff
Where you're from: Saskatoon, SK
Your Brother Name:'Omega the third'
Best memory of pledge: The end of final weekend
-----------------------------------

Name: Sunny Cohen
From: Belleville, Ontario
Brother Name: Tuxedo
My Favourite Pledge Memory: Missions Night, the most ridiculous event that took us all across downtown montreal

Whew. Ok so those are the Nu's! Snaps to them for making it through Pledge.

2) Splashbash 2K5 is this week! November 11th at Bain Mathieu. Any alumni who'll be in town, or want to come in town for the greatest party in Montreal are more than welcome. If you need a place to stay, let me know and we'll set you up, and we'll put aside shirts for you. The shirts year have an really cool logo, its the Nintendo Logo, with Mario in the middle and "Splashbash" in the little oval thing instead of 'Nintendo'

3) Alumni Weekend will be February 10th, 11th and 12. I'll have a tentative itinerary for you before the winter break, we're just putting the final touches on the details. If you guys have any special requests, anything specific that you want to do, feel free to drop me a line.

4) Mazel Tov to Mike 'Crouton' Szlamkowicz (Beta) on his 1st Wedding Anniversary to Lara Dean!
Good luck to Carey 'Baby Splinter' Tepperman (Epsilon) who will be going to India for 6 weeks and not showering the whole time!

A Belated Mazel Tov to David 'Icarus Iconothesis' Silber on his marriage to Joanne Golden on September 1st 2005!

4a)Thanks to all the Alumni who sent me in corrections, especially Doug Stein who flooded my inbox with all your Brother Names!

4b) Also, you'll be getting an addition to this email later this week with a new thing I'm starting. I'm calling it the "State of the Chapter". It'll basically be a summary by the Master of how Epsilon Chi is doing, what our progress has been so far this year, etc, etc. Normally I'd sent it out now, but it won't be ready for a few days and I wanted to get this off before Splashbash.

AND NOW...... A Quote from the History of Epsilon Chi

On the occasion of receiving our Charter in 1990:
"You are a fantastic group of men. Your dedication has and will continue to help allow for the success of Alpha Epsilon Pi. You are an inspiration to brothers of my chapter as well as many other chapters, colonies, and groups of future AEPi men across the nations. I am proud to call each one of you Brother and to refer to my brothers of McGill as a chapter.
-David Scott Shulman
Master - Phi Chapter (University of Massachusetts)
